SmugMug Sync & Folder Import/Export
Sync full folder structures, import photo galleries via API or share links, and export folders directly back to SmugMug.
Lists & Location Shortlists
Open Lists in the Film toolbar. Name your new list and choose Create, then open it and add locations. Use Share list for a view link or Print for a printed shortlist. Lists are saved in the browser where you create them.
Tech Scout & Itineraries
Open Tech Scout and choose New. Set the scout date, departure time, and optional starting point. Add locations or a restaurant lunch, arrange your stops, calculate drive times, and Save. Download an itinerary PDF or share the route with your crew.
Import via Link
Open Import via Link, paste a public website URL, choose This page or Whole site, and click Scan. Review the details and photos, choose a new or existing gallery under Save into, then save your selection. Login-protected pages cannot be scanned.
Smart Search & Vibe Tags
Using natural language filters ("industrial", "upscale brick") and location intel tags.
Map & Location Pins
Pinning locations on the NYC scouting map, managing EXIF/GPS data, and organizing street-level views.
Location Intel & Alerts
Open Location Intel to search field reports and filter by neighborhood, distance, status, parking, or power. Use Search This Map Area to focus on an area. Post Intel adds a field update; Alerts manages email notifications when included in your plan.
Adobe Lightroom Import
Open Lightroom in the Film toolbar and choose Connect Adobe Lightroom if prompted. Browse All photos or an album, select photos, choose a Destination gallery, then Import. The Adobe connection must be configured before importing; this is a selected-photo import, not automatic two-way sync.
Add Photos & Import Assets
Open Add Photos / Import Assets to bring photos in four ways: connect Google Drive or Dropbox and import a whole cloud folder, upload a CSV or XLSX of photo URLs with a quick column-mapping step, paste image links in bulk, or scan the QR code to upload straight from your phone's camera. A Save to ScoutDeck bookmarklet also captures photos from any website you're browsing.
Moving, Duplicating & Merging
Drag a folder onto another folder to nest it, or drag a gallery onto a folder to move it — select several items first to move them together. Open a gallery's ⋯ menu for Duplicate Gallery (name the copy, choose the target folder, and tick whether photos, location tags and coordinates, or contact info come along) or Add to Folder... to show one gallery in several folders without copying files. Dropping a gallery onto another gallery merges their photos into one.
